We need
YOUR HELP
TO KEEP OUR
COMMUNITY ALIVE
GALAPAGOS depends 100% on the mainland to survive economically, so the COVID crisis has an immense impact here.
Today, we support a network of more than 200 families – between our MUYU team, small family farmers, fishermen, artisans and suppliers. For many families, MUYU provides their only income.

We are so much more than a restaurant, YOUR SUPPORT will enable us to keep our education programme going as well as to maintain our pioneer island-wide organic and sustainable farming initiative.
A pioneer Farm, Forest and Sea to Table restaurant in the Galapagos Islands
MUYU means ‘seeds’ in the Kichwa language.
The meaning of our name encompasses all we stand for.
We plant a big variety of organic seeds at our very own pilot farm and also provide partnering farmers with them.
So our guests will enjoy healthy, delicious meals that are both, on par with the spectacular nature and part of its preservation.
We plant seeds of knowledge and opportunities into the local community, so they can harvest sustainable careers in harmony with their wish to take well care of their home, Galapagos.
From San Cristobal, MUYU chefs continuously source the best organic vegetables, fruits, foraged herbs, and the freshest seafood available.
They avoid all unnecessary ordering of products from the mainland in order to both reduce carbon emissions, and to best support local farmers, artisans as well as fishermen.
Thus, your dining experience at MUYU is all in tune with the spirit of unspoilt nature you came to Galapagos for.
MUYU is a pilot program
of the Galapagos Foundation.
Education is at the heart of this gastronomic project.
We are empowering youngsters and women to establish a more ethical, sustainable, humane career.
